Should I be feeling THIS nervous about having friends over to my house?

I'm 17, female. My family and I moved to a rural property with a "beautiful", but quite rundown, timber house. My dad has begun renovations and and there's crap everywhere, but to make matters worse our property is near a notoriously bad suburb. My best friend's boyfriend (Who's in the army) is coming to our city for the weekend and my best friend (Who lives on a college and can't have parties) is really into the idea of him staying at my house. I REALLY want them to come, but I feel so selfconscious about having people here. Its so far from the city, its in the middle of nowhere, and its falling apart around us! How can I get over my fear of what people will think and what are some tips for hosting a good gathering?
