What color should I paint my kitchen, living room/dining walls?

I have lime green appliances in my kitchen & I wanted to paint the walls, so what should I paint them? My living room & dining room are connected & I have dark brown (espresso) furniture, so I wanted to know what color I should paint my walls? I need something that will blend well with whatever color I paint the kitchen because it kind of opens to the kitchen as well?
