Pokemon pearl...breeding help?

I currently have 5 gym badges in pokemon pearl and really want an eevee. My sister who has platinum traded me her male glaceon so i could breed it with my female luxio. So far all of the eggs they have produced have been shinxs. Is it acually possible to breed an eevee before obtaining the national dex??
