If your in the marines and deployed could you wear ballistic visors and more then 1 bulletproof vest?

I am going to the marines after I graduate and am only nervous about getting sniped because my MOS is a machine gunner i would like to know what the best body armor including helmet face visors that i could possibly wear chances are il take a shot to the face but is there anything that could reliably stop the bullet.
